It's raining in the AV!
We all awoke to beautiful rain this morning. I know a lot of places are getting way too much of it lately, but we've been sadly lacking. Unfortunately the rain also brought the arthritis knees, so I wasn't able to walk in it, but I sat outside awhile and breathed it in (wearing a heavy jacket, of course).

A bit ago, I posted a memorial to the favorite rock band of my girlhood, Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids. Well, having rifled through tons of stuff, I've put together a picture montage tribute to Flash and the Kids. Flash himself is gone now (having died far too young), but his music goes on. There are only a couple of people on my flist from "those days", but I hope it gives them a smile. (If you get "not available", give it a couple of minutes ... YT has been slow lately)

Here's the vid )

President's Day Reprise
Gacked this great idea from [info]adaveen

Make this one more plea for Al Gore to enter the run for the US Presidency

The Honorable Albert Gore, Jr.

When George Bush was hiding out in his bunker in Prairie Chapel, TX, Al Gore was flying in jets filled with medicine and food for the people stranded in Mercy Hospital in New Orleans. Those same jets flew out with patients who were then evacuated to other hospitals, after being stranded at Mercy without power, water or food for DAYS. Nuff said.

Okay, I promise, last Gore pimping post of the month. Probably. ;-)
