I'm so frickin' proud of Iowans today
The Iowa Democrats caucus counted 125,000 votes in 2004. Yesterday, there were
240,000
votes. That's a 90%+ increase over the last Presidential primary period. Young people turned out in droves, giving Obama his victory and propping up Edwards to take second place (and Edwards did this on 10% of the money Clinton had). Had the Democrat and GOP results been lumped together, the winner of the GOP caucus would have come in a very poor fourth behind all the major Democrats.

Iowa, btw, is 94.4% white. They turned a deaf ear to all the "Obama Osama" Hussein crap being spewed by the Faux News people. They were informed, energized and ready for the fight. And they voted for a black man with an African name. ((HUGS 4 IOWA)) (I have to admit to now working for Edwards, though, since Gore's a no-show.)

BTW, rounding the bend on finishing the second part of the House/Wilson story.
